A distilled residue from crude oil, this is one of the most used (commercially) and least of the volatile products. Larger ships make use of about 10% of the fuel oil produced for powering them. Another 15% of the fuel oil is used for heating purposes while the rest is used as feedstock in refineries.
Trading actively in fuel oil, JB Commodity trades nearly 3.5 tonnes fuel oil monthly of which half is used in refineries as feedstock. They lift sour and high sulfur content oil from Middle East, Mexico and the erstwhile Soviet Union, the sweet and low sulfur oil from the European and US countries.
